Road Trip 5: Dublin's Grey Church, Brick Church, and Blue House with "Rod"

I have hope for Dublin. It's a county seat, in a strategic location at I-16 and 441, it has a VA Hospital, and some very fine well kept houses and buildings.

The grey church with red doors, a woody, really turned our head. It's Christ Episcopal Church. We want to go back for another look.
"The present building was constructed in 1898 and consecrated on February 5, 1899 by then-Bishop, The Right Reverend C. K. Nelson. It is the oldest standing public building in Laurens County. The church is built in the shape of a cross, with its interior constructed of heart pine."

Dublin First Baptist is a more traditional look in churches with it's giant window and trefoils and quatrefoils galore. I love that it's right on the sidewalk. If they built it today, it would front a giant parking lot.

And we can really feel a home here, at home in the south.

Downtown Dublin makes me look thin from this angle. Don't you think?
